Guess who’s coming to lunch

As a way of helping us get to know one another better, we’re inviting everyone to make Sunday 1 August and Sunday 29 August days when we enjoy simple hospitality (eg: soup and rolls) in on another’s homes.

This is a really fun way of getting to know more people!
Sign up (there is a pink flyer in your church newsletter) and hand this into the information table after a service in the church foyer, or speak to Ps Marjory for more details.

July Men’s Breakfast

Calling all men – it’s time for a get together to enjoy a lovely manly breakfast and talk about … well, manly things. Len McSaveney is going to shed some light for us on Concrete – not the stuff we are used to, but the concrete the Egyptian’s used to build the pyramids.

Len is a fellow of the NZ Institute of Professional Engineers and an Honorary Member of the New Zealand Concrete Society – and an all round nice guy! Come along and be share some time with other guys, lets cement our relationships together as we eat and learn more about concrete.

2010 Combined Service

Join us Sunday 11th of July for our annual combined church service. It’ll be a great service with songs, choirs, prayers and praise.

We meet at 10:30am, however you are welcome to join us from 9:45am for a tea or coffee before the service.

A great opportunity to meet with other believers who share our building or grounds. Come and worship with fellow believers our great and wonderful God.

Family Night Out

Come and join us in the church Activity Centre on Saturday July 3, from 5pm for a great night of fun, laughter and story telling.

Don’t tell the kids, but there might be icecream, drinks and we’ve heard a rumor about “all you can eat” pizza – but you know, you’ll just have to come along and see what this is really all about.

Come along and have fun with your children and other families – and our Special Guest (ah you think we’re going to tell you … well you’ll have to come along – or read your notices – to find out more).

Evangelism Training

Do you know how to reach out to others? Do you know how to share your faith? Can you answer the question “Why are you a christian?”

On Saturday 26 June we are running a 2 hour short course focusing on evangelism, giving you some new skills and confidence when it comes to sharing your faith. Why not come along? If you are keen please contact the office and let them know you are interested.

A life WORTH living

During term 3 (12 July through 29 September) we’re offering ‘A Life Worth Living’ a short course based on the book of Philippians. This course will help us explore how to live the Christian Life positively, practically and joyfully.

This 9 week course starts at 7pm on Wednesday, 21 July at the church. You (and your family, friends) are welcome to come along on the first night to sample the course and then decide whether or not you will sign up for the whole 9 weeks.

We do need to know how many are coming, so please sign up at the information table or drop us a note via our “Yellow Card and let us know if you are joining us.

Baptism Classes

PBC Working Bee

Every now and then work around the church itself must be done to keep it looking tidy and functioning well. On Saturday the 19th of June we are having working bees down at PBC. Why not come and join us for a day of activities, it’ll be a fun day with lots of different jobs and activities for all.

Movie Night – WOW

Hey ladies, come along for a fun night on June 11th starting at 7pm here at PBC. We’ll be showing “Julie & Julia“. Come after dinner and enjoy a coffee, tea or hot chocolate with marshmallow – served with a range of baking including cupcakes, brownies, cakes and more during the break time.

Entry is by Gold Coin donation.

Annual General Meeting
