Web site help

Do you know WordPress? How’s your PHP? Know your H1′s from your H3′s? Heard of html5? Own a Mac?

Okay well maybe you don’t need to know all of those things – but we sure do need help here with this church website. We are looking for someone to take on the upkeep of the site. We’ll do the heavy lifting, we just need someone to take charge around the content here.

What’s we’d like:

The site is powered by WordPress, so we need someone who knows how to use this – chances are if you have your own blog it’s highly likely it’s powered by wordpress too.

Your main job is to keep this site up to date. That means getting a copy of the weekly sermon from Ps Andrew and sticking it online (copy and paste from Google Docs is how we currently do it – although we’d like someone to take a little more care to correct HTML issues).

We’d also like to explore putting notices and events online & we need to update the services part of the website.

Most of this is really simple stuff, but we really would prefer someone who knows HTML, SEO and WordPress as we are trying to lay a good foundation for growth on the site.

Recommended skills:

• wordpress knowledge, plugins & themes experience
• ability to tinker with html & php (plugins & themes within wordpress)
• web knowledge – SEO, xml, rss
• Google Analytics, Feedburner, Youtube, experience
